quotes Glad you guys were okay after that. FYI was there Sun and a sketchy dude in a gray sweat shirt was walking around with a bucket on his cell most of the time. Seemed like was was scouting it out and telling someone about I over the phone. Thought I saw a hammer or hatchet in in bucket. There were a bunch of us there. Tried to be friendly with him, but he wasn't too smiley. Someone said he mentioned the landowners bellow the zone don't like us there. Shoulda taken a photo of him. Hope the new shit isn't cut down by next week....

quotes There are a lot of factors that could have pushed this one way or the other. Like the comment at the top says a snowboard isn't gonna do well on a DH course, but then again a DH bike isn't gonna fair well dropping into an AK heli line or even a course with some turns. I agree that race should have ended before it flattened out and that pedaling def helped the guy on the bike, just like poles and skating would have helped a skier. In the end though this doesn't prove bikes are faster than snowboards (or skiers) on snow. What it proves is that there are still ways this sport continues to surprise us and THAT is F'ing cool.
